The Selective Stream                                        Download application form

At Reading Girls' we have up to two Selective Streams in each year group providing a more intensive academic education.

This is unashamedly designed to enable intelligent and adaptable girls to progress through an enhanced National Curriculum to achieve the highest grades in public examinations of which they are capable.

This Foundation School aims to provide the highest quality education for all girls. We believe that education should cater for students of all abilities, including the academically able. Reading Girls' is committed to providing a wide and challenging academic education suited to the ability needs of each girl in a disciplined and orderly environment where she will be actively encouraged to attain her personal best.

As a parent, it is your right to choose the very best education for your daughter. At Reading Girls' School we are pleased to be able to offer you this opportunity. Should you be interested in proceeding further, please complete the application slip and return it to the school. To enable us to assess your daughter, she will be invited to Reading Girls' to sit tests in the November prior to joining the school the following September. Please complete the Local Authority preference forms in the usual way.
